How may God be calling you to develop your ministry? We give priority to learning language and culture, and serving alongside national Christians and their churches where we can. These roles don’t usually offer a salary, so you need to be ready to seek financial support.

Churches often ask us to help them find:

  • Administrators, computing specialists and managers for ministries and initiatives.
  • Bible and theological lecturers with at least an MA or PhD in theology.
  • Workers amongst young people, children, families and pastoral visiting.
  • Drug advisors, counsellors and trainers.

Schools and centres are always looking for teachers of core subjects, especially those whose first language is English. Willingness to be involved in speaking at chapel services and assemblies is appreciated.

  • Primary and secondary teachers for national Christian schools and schools for expatriate children. Teachers of Bible (RE), English, computing, sports and social studies are especially needed.
  • Teachers of English as a second language (TESOL) for students and adults.
  • Teacher trainers who combine technical excellence and spiritual maturity.

Project workers are sought for most parts of the region, including:

  • Medical Consultants, doctors, nurses, midwives, other skilled healthcare professionals
  • Special needs, therapists and social workers to work with street children, orphans and those who are blind, deaf and who live with multiple handicaps.

Media and Literature are growing areas, especially if you have skills in media, web design and maintenance, radio and satellite and have the patience to help and train others. IT support staff are increasingly key players amongst agencies and churches.

Member care is of growing importance to us in each of the countries where we serve. We’re looking for established people - especially with some experience of the region and preferably with some facility in language - who can help with orientation, mentoring, and hospitality.
