Hospitality, friendship, family and welcome. Noise, dust, smells and danger. You’ll find them all in this region. Never far from the news, often feared, always fascinating - and from a Christian perspective, where the gospel first appeared and where the Church began.

Since the 7th century, the Middle East has been a difficult place for Christians to live and to witness, and in the light of present tensions, many continue to leave for safer places. Despite the troubles, those who do come - especially those who come to serve or live long-term - usually receive a warm welcome and are greatly appreciated.

We have teams or individuals in the Arabian Peninsula, Cyprus, Egypt, Iraq, Jordan, Lebanon, and Turkey. With everything from Cairo’s 20 million to remote mountain villages, the Middle East is a kaleidoscope of encounter and experience. We aim above all to be partners in mission with Middle Eastern churches.

Pray that

• Many more will answer God’s call to come and serve Him in the Middle East
• Partnerships with local churches will deepen and flourish
• Local communities will be changed as a result of the witness of believers
• The Middle Eastern church will be challenged and given the courage to reach out with the gospel
